favorite color for fall

Every season, there’s a color I find myself quietly obsessed with. Not because it’s everywhere…but because it feels right in that moment.

This fall, it’s this deep berry-wine shade – the kind you see in the She’s Wanted blush from Patrick Ta Beauty. It’s rich without being heavy, feminine without being sweet, and dramatic without trying too hard.

What I love about this color is how grown it feels. It doesn’t chase brightness or youth. It leans into depth. Into warmth. Into a kind of softness that comes from confidence rather than polish.

This richness reminds me of the things I love most about fall…the heavy, spicy red wines I reach for as the weather cools. The quiet decadence of the season. Flush cheeks from cold air. Long walks with leaves crunching under your feet. That muted, dulled aesthetic where everything feels intentional but softened, perfectly manicured without being sharp.

It’s the season where makeup can finally be matte again. Where skin doesn’t need to glow…it can rest. This shade mirrors that feeling exactly. It sits beautifully on the skin whether it’s applied precisely or worn a little undone – which, to me, is always the mark of something special.

This is the color I want right now.

In makeup, yes – but also in mood, in design, in life.

Less noise.

More richness.
