paris fashion week fw25: craft, kindness, and the details that matter

Paris Fashion Week always comes with expectation – but this season, Kobi Halperin exceeded mine in the most human way possible.

Beyond the collections and the clothes, what stayed with me most was him – straightforward, warm, and genuinely caring. The kind of person you want to root for, not just creatively, but as a business owner and a human being…and that matters more than people realize.

Creatively, the Fall/Winter 2025 collection was everything I love seeing: devotion to detail, indulgence without chaos, and a clear point of view. I was completely taken by the lace and fringe combinations for Emmanuel Ungaro (for whom Kobi is the Creative Director) inspired moments that felt both archival and modern.

I was lucky enough to acquire one of the skirts that ultimately didn’t go into production, which makes it feel even more special – almost couture in spirit. A piece that exists because it was created, not because it needed to scale.

The crystals. The ostrich feathers. The unapologetic fringe layered across silhouettes. Everything felt intentional, tactile, and celebratory. You could feel the hours in it…the hands…the care.

What I love most about Kobi’s work is that it never feels careless. Even when it’s over-the-top, it’s controlled, refined, and thought through. That balance between drama and discipline is rare.

FW25 reminded me why detail still matters. Why craftsmanship still matters. And why the people behind the work matter most of all.
